A new day has dawn for the emerging generation and the phrase: Taking Responsibility” echo from heaven with regards to prayer and transformation in our nation.

The Transformation African Youth Department mobilizes and empowers young people to live this lifestyle of prayer and Transformation in communities. Since 2002 young people and children have been call to prayer and compassion action. With the dawn of the 24/7 Prayer Movement the impetus have grown and now young people are doing 30 KD in their schools, pray for day and nights in prayer rooms and are reaching out to broken communities.

We are the Daniel Generation and God is calling us to stop the havoc on the schools in our nation. Too many young people on schools and campuses are dying of TIK, VIOLENCE, SEXUAL IMMORAILTY and SUBSTANCE ABUSE. Influence is one of the major tools of the FOD focus; whereby youth will pray for government and also get involved on government level to be a voice to ensure righteousness in our nation.

  Our Story

When the Transformation Africa Movement started in 2001 with the Day of Repentance and Prayer at Newlands Rugby Stadium, it was the birth of a new season for Africa. This movement of prayer literally swept over the continent and by 2004 every single country in the continent was crying out in unity that God would change Africa to become a light to the nations. And this it did indeed by inviting the nations of the world to join in the first ever Global Day of Prayer in 2005. Out of 220 nations in the world, 156 participated, covering the earth with day and night prayer for ten days preceding the GDOP and then uniting in the biggest ever prayer meeting across national, denominational and time zones. In 2006 millions upon millions joined from 199 nations and already there are numerous reports of God doing miracles, transforming the nations of the globe.

BUT, the good news is even better! This move of prayer awakened a new giant . . . the emerging generation. Young people and children from all over the world are suddenly taking up the spiritual responsibility for their nations and God is using them to amazing effect! All over the globe they are gathering to be communities of prayer, mission and justice, gaining new ground for the Kingdom of God through a lifestyle of intimacy with God and compassionate action and involvement in their communities.

With the dawn of the 24/7 Prayer Movement the impetus have grown and now young people are doing 30Kd in their schools, pray for days and nights in Boiler Rooms and are reaching out to their broken communities.

Unfortunately the challenge has just begun! The enemy is creating havoc in our schools at present and is busy destroying the lives of many young people. We are saying: NO! We will not be defeated. We are the Daniel Generation and even if we are young we are called to make a difference where it counts.

Therefor we want to invite you to become a Friend of Daniel and challenge you to become the instrument of Transformation in your school. Let’s start by opening ourselves up so that God can change us from the inside out. And then let us unite against our enemy and proclaim the victory that we have in Christ.

The Friends of Daniel Initiative will be led by the Transformation Africa Youth Department in collaboration with many other partners. The main aim is to help students to live a new lifestyle that will change their schools. Many different ministry tools will be incorporated in the process. Teachers and students will be trained and useful tools will be available.
